Stop Storing Passwords. Start Forgetting Them.

Dai Vernon is a zero-persistence password manager. Your credentials exist only in the moment you use them. No stored keys. No encrypted database. Nothing to breach. When you lock the app, your passwords vanish—from memory, from disk, from existence.

Zero-Persistence Cryptography. Finally.

Patent-pending dual-key architecture with blockchain validation. Your passwords are derived on-demand from cryptographic hashes, exist momentarily in memory, then are destroyed. No persistent vault. No attack surface. Military-grade security without the single point of failure.

Every Password Manager Has the Same Vulnerability

They store your passwords somewhere—encrypted vaults, cloud databases, local files. Steal the vault, crack the encryption, game over. Dai Vernon eliminates the vault entirely. Your passwords exist only when you need them. Lock the app, and there's nothing left to steal.

Your Passwords. Perfectly Secure. Instantly Gone.

Zero-persistence password manager. Your credentials appear when you need them, vanish when you don't. No vault file to protect. No database to breach. Just passwords that exist in the moment—and nowhere else.

Why Dai Vernon

🔒

Nothing Recoverable to Steal

Your passwords are encrypted in a blockchain, but the decryption keys don't exist at rest. They're generated on-demand from your passphrase, used once, then destroyed from memory. Steal the data? It's useless without keys that never persist.

⛓️

Cryptographic Integrity

Every operation is validated through blockchain anchoring. Tamper-proof audit trail. You know your data hasn't been modified. Military-grade security without the single point of failure.

🛡️

We Practice What We Preach

Your registration information (name, email, country) is encrypted using the same zero-persistence cryptographic architecture that protects your passwords. Even if our database were compromised, your personal data remains secure. We trust our own technology - and so should you.

How It Works

1
📥

Install & Create Passphrase

Download for Windows, Mac, or Linux. Create your master passphrase. That's it - no account, no cloud sync, fully local.

2
📤

Import Your Passwords

Drag and drop your KeePass database or CSV export from any password manager. Dai Vernon maps the fields automatically. Your passwords are encrypted and ready in seconds.

3
🔒

Lock & Forget

Close the app or hit lock. Your decryption keys are destroyed from memory. The encrypted blockchain remains, but without the keys, it's just noise. Reopen with your passphrase to regenerate keys on-demand.

One App. Unlimited Users. Zero Overlap.

Multi-user support without profiles, accounts, or complexity

THE FEATURE

Multiple people can use the same Dai Vernon installation with complete privacy. Each person creates their own passphrase, which generates a completely isolated wallet. Your spouse's passwords never appear in your view. Your kids' passwords never appear in yours. Same app, different passphrases, separate encrypted blockchains.

HOW IT WORKS

When you enter a passphrase, Dai Vernon derives cryptographic keys that unlock only the wallet created with that passphrase. Enter a different passphrase, and you're in a completely different wallet. No switching profiles. No logging in and out. Just use your passphrase.

USE CASES

  • Families: Parents and kids share one computer, each with private passwords
  • Small businesses: Multiple employees on shared workstation, complete isolation
  • Personal organization: Separate work and personal passwords with different passphrases

THE SECURITY

Each wallet is cryptographically isolated. There's no "admin" view that sees all wallets. Even if someone knows another user's passphrase exists, they can't access it without knowing the exact passphrase. Perfect privacy through cryptographic separation.

Think You Can Crack It?

We're so confident in our zero-persistence architecture, we'll refund your purchase if you can break it.

THE CHALLENGE

Download Dai Vernon. Use the sample password chain we provide and try to find the master passphrase. Your mission: extract plaintext passwords from the encrypted blockchain - even with the app running.

THE RULES

  • No phishing, social engineering, or physical access attacks (kind of difficult since we have the passphrase)
  • You can brute-force, dictionary attack or any other attack on the master passphrase (good luck with up to 64 characters)
  • Extract passwords from memory or storage while app is open or locked
  • Document your method so we can reproduce it

THE REWARD

If you successfully crack the zero-persistence model and can prove it's reproducible:

  • Full refund of your purchase price + $100 bounty (limited to the first person to crack it)
  • Public acknowledgment (if you want it)
  • We'll explain what we learned and how we fixed it

WHY WE'RE CONFIDENT

Decryption keys exist only in the moment they're needed - derived on-demand, used once, destroyed. Even while running, your passwords are decrypted individually, displayed, then cleared from memory. There's no window where all passwords sit in plaintext RAM.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from LastPass/1Password/Bitwarden?
Traditional password managers store your passwords in an encrypted vault - a file on disk or in the cloud. If that vault is stolen, attackers can attempt to crack the encryption offline. Dai Vernon eliminates the vault entirely. Your passwords are encrypted in a blockchain, but the decryption keys don't exist at rest. They're generated on-demand from your passphrase, used once, then destroyed from memory. Nothing recoverable to steal.
What happens if I forget my master passphrase?
Your passwords are unrecoverable. This isn't a limitation - it's a feature. We can't reset your passphrase because we don't have your keys. They're generated from your passphrase and only exist when you use them. Write down your passphrase and store it securely. This is the tradeoff for true zero-persistence security.

Bonus feature: If you type a different passphrase, Dai Vernon generates a completely separate wallet. This means multiple users can use the same app installation with different passphrases - you never see their passwords, they never see yours. Each passphrase unlocks its own isolated wallet.
Does changing my passphrase wipe all my passwords?
No. When you change your passphrase, Dai Vernon re-encrypts your entire blockchain with new keys derived from your new passphrase. All your passwords remain intact and accessible with the new passphrase. The old passphrase no longer works.
Can I backup my data?
Yes. Use the "Backup Wallet" function to export your encrypted blockchain (chain.json). Store it on an external drive, cloud storage, or anywhere you want. This file is safe to store anywhere because it's useless without your passphrase. To restore, use "Restore from Backup" and choose whether to merge with existing passwords or replace your current wallet entirely.
Can I use this on multiple devices?
Not yet. Dai Vernon v1.0 is designed for single-device use with manual backup/restore between devices. Multi-device sync is planned for Team and Enterprise editions. For now, you can backup from one device and restore to another, but they won't stay in sync automatically.
What platforms does it support?
Windows, Mac, and Linux. Dai Vernon is built with Electron, so it runs on all major desktop operating systems. Mobile apps are planned for future releases.
How do I migrate from my current password manager?
Export your passwords to CSV from your current password manager (LastPass, 1Password, Bitwarden, etc. all support CSV export). In Dai Vernon, use "Import" and select your CSV file. Dai Vernon automatically maps the columns and encrypts your passwords. You can also import directly from KeePass XML format.
How do I get support if there's an issue?
Email support@phantomkey.pro. If you purchased during the Early Bird period, you get priority support with faster response times. All users can also access our FAQ and documentation at phantomkey.pro/docs.
Is anyone else using this technology yet?
Dai Vernon is the first consumer password manager built on zero-persistence cryptography with blockchain validation. The underlying technology is patent-pending (US Provisional Patent #63/946,273). While other password managers use encryption, none eliminate the persistent vault that creates a single point of failure.
Are updates free?
Yes. All updates, bug fixes, and security patches are free forever once you purchase Dai Vernon. No subscriptions, no upgrade fees. Buy once, use forever with free updates.
Is this open source?
Not currently. The core cryptographic architecture is patent-pending, and we're evaluating open source options for the future. However, we're committed to transparency - security researchers can request access to review our code under NDA.
How do I backup a family/multi-user installation?
Each user must export their own wallet separately:
1. User 1 enters their passphrase and exports
2. User 2 enters their passphrase and exports
3. Each backup file is encrypted with that user's passphrase

To restore on a new computer, each user imports their own backup file with their passphrase. The wallets remain isolated on the new installation.
How do I use the passphrase screen?
On first run, choose a master passphrase you can remember but others can’t. This unlocks your wallet in memory – it is never stored on disk or in the cloud. Each time you open Dai Vernon, enter this passphrase to unlock. Use the Lock command when you step away; locking destroys the keys in memory and you must re‑enter the passphrase to see anything again. If you forget the passphrase, your data cannot be recovered.
How do I add and manage entries?
Click + Add Entry to create a new record. Give it a title (e.g. “Gmail”), fill in username/email, password, and optionally URL and notes, then click Save. Use the search box to filter entries, click an entry to view details, and use the copy icons to copy username or password to the clipboard. You can edit or delete an entry from its menu; once deleted and the app is closed, that data is gone because nothing is stored persistently.
What do the main menu items do?
The exact labels vary by platform, but generally:

File – Lock / Unlock the app and Exit (wipes in‑memory data).
Entries / Vault – Add Entry, Import from CSV/KeePass, Export an encrypted backup.
View – Sorting and layout options for the entry list, theme / dark mode.
Tools – Password generator and any security checks (weak / reused passwords).
Help – Opens this help/FAQ and the About box with version and support info.
